Headache Cause and Cures Some of the common triggers of headaches include stress, weather changes, lack of sleep, strong odors, bright light, hunger, and certain foods. Many people are sensitive to certain food and simply eliminating that food from the diet would help a lot. Certain food may affect your brain chemistry by changing the size of the blood vessels in the brain causing headaches. Some of the most important triggers include alcohol (especially red wine), excessive caffeine, aged cheese, chocolates and food additives like monosodium glutamate, sulfites and nitrites. Make a note of the things which you eat each time a headache is triggered. |
