Exercise and Diet for Muscle Gain Muscle building requires an intense workout. Eating a balanced diet helps in weight gain, but exercise and vigorous training is essential for muscle formation. There is no easy way to gain muscles, overnight. Hit the gym and keep a track of your body building program. Regular visit to the gym is not the only factor to be considered. The effect of working out in the gym is monitored and that is equally important. Keeping a diary helps in tracking the improvement in muscle mass. Also check your weight, lean body mass, biceps, skin fold measurements and body fat percentage at regular intervals and know the difference. Photos taken at frequent intervals are very helpful and make the difference obvious. They are motivating and provide a lot of encouragement in improving the work out. Keep a track of your nutritional intake. A high protein diet with eggs, nuts, legumes, fish, poultry, lean meat and pulses are helpful. Supplements, available commercially prove beneficial, but require the guidance of a fitness trainer and nutritionist, as certain supplements fail to provide any result. A balance diet with adequate vegetables and fruits are recommended. Adequate amount of water is essential, due to dehydration, which accompanies intense workouts. |
