One of the best ways to get a glowing skin for life is to incorporate a healthy diet for long-term results. In order to improve looks, eating right can greatly help to a tremendous extent. Diet not only helps to clear up acne but also influenced skin disorders such as eczema. In order to maintain cell repair and keep aging in check, one must consume good amounts of protein which are abundantly found in lean chicken, the whites of eggs, and turkey meat. Certain fatty acids such as Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish such as tuna and mackerel and also in vegetables and seeds such as Flax seeds and extra virgin olive oil.

These fatty acids are a highly important anti-inflammatory agent and can help in lowering the bad cholesterol in the body. Certain skin eruptions are due to inflammatory reasons and hormonal upsets in the body. By eating the right kinds of foods, one can control and take charge of certain disorders. Foods containing high sugar and carbohydrates in them can cause a spike in the blood sugar and lead to risky changes in the body causing chemical imbalances. Sugar creates free radicals in the body that causes the body to age faster and breakdown the collagen and hence the lesser sugar one consumes the better it is for the skin. To get your source of carbohydrates, eat low-glycemic fruits and vegetables such as arugula and zucchini. In order to clear the body and the skin from toxins and waste products, plenty of water must be consumed throughout the day. Approximately 8 to 10 glasses of water every day helps in the efficient functions of the organs and the cells in the body. Keep away from junk food such as white breads, or white flour based products, aerated drinks, doughnuts, and deep-fried products, French fries and potato chips. Such foods cause the complexion to become pasty while the hair becomes lifeless and dull. Foods rich in vitamin A are vital for the maintenance and the repair and of epithelial tissues which are not largely spread over the skin.

To get rid of black spots on the face and clear the complexion, mix a teaspoon of fresh oatmeal with a little rose water. This mixture must be gently rubbed on the affected spots are the black spots with special focus on the dark areas and on the sides of the nose. This preparation must be left to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes and then washed with water. The hardened sebum will be dislodged and the skin becomes softer and smoother with a regular application.
