Apple Vinegar Benefits Apple vinegar, also known as apple cider vinegar, is a type of vinegar that is primarily made by the fermentation of apple cider, during which process some amount of sugar in the apple cider is broken down by bacteria and yeast to convert it into alcohol and then vinegar. Apple vinegar has a light yellow brown color and will often be sold on the consumer market in unfiltered as well as unpasteurized form. Unlike most other forms of vinegar, apple vinegar is known to be more commonly used in holistic and home remedy treatments. The benefits of apple acetic acid seem to have been prevalent down the decades of history with some Egyptian manuscripts showing that they had regularly used apple vinegar in the treatment of a number of ailments. They also appeared to be of the opinion that apple cider also helps in the circulation and flow of blood. Having allowed a few apples to ferment, the resulting fermented fruit acid contains high quantities of pectin as well as minerals like potassium, sodium, chlorine and calcium. |

Apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting ripe apples, the it has a host of nutrients including pectin, beta carotene, other vitamins, minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium, sulfur, iron, chorine, and fluorine. The calcium in this vinegar helps for growth and development, pectin which is a soluble fiber helps to decrease the cholesterol levels and also helps to lose weight, beta carotene helps to neutralize the harmful free radicals in the body there by decreasing the oxidative stress. Apple cider vinegar also has natural antibacterial and anti fungal properties which helps in fighting infections. Prefer unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar over crystal clear white sparkling vinegar. This is because the steaming process used to clear the vinegar destroys most of the healthy nutrients in the clear white vinegar. Mix 2 tablespoon diluted apple cider vinegar with equal amounts of honey (skip honey if you have diabetes) in warm water and drink daily in the morning. |
