Diet Pepsi Max Composition Pepsi Max is an alternative to Pepsi and Diet Pepsi and is marketed by Pepsico. There is no added sugar and the additive used is acesulfame potassium. It is thus a low calorie drink. It is also free of carbohydrates and is a cola which is infused with ginseng. About double the quantity of caffeine is seen in Pepsi Max, in comparison to other Pepsi beverages. Eight fluid ounces of regular diet Pepsi comprises of 24 milligrams of caffeine, whereas Diet Pepsi Max contains 46 milligrams of caffeine in eight ounces of the beverage. It was introduced in the United States in the year 2007. It is placed equivalent to energy drinks, as it is referred to as an invigorating drink. The components of the Diet Pepsi Max are aspartame, phosphoric acid, carbonated water, potassium benzoate, caffeine, caramel colour, Panax Ginseng extract, calcium disodium EDTA, acesulfame potassium and natural flavours. These are the ingredients in the canned and bottled Diet Pepsi Max. The sodium content in eight fluid ounce of Diet Pepsi Max is 25 milligrams. Potassium benzoate preserves the freshness of the product, whereas calcium disodium EDTA protects the flavour of the product, Diet Pepsi Max. |
