Weight loss pill have ingredients that suppress the appetite. A number of complications, such as tiredness, allergies, insomnia and discomfort in the gastrointestinal region is possible with the intake of diet pills. Diet pills of glucomannan are thickeners and weight reducers, though not proven safe in humans. Fibre from the shells of shellfish is available as Chitosan supplements. They prove beneficial, in addition to low calorie diet and a reduced fat diet.




Ephedra, also called Ma Huang in certain pills are used for weight loss, though considered not very safe. They also have life threatening effects. They basically work by affecting the central nervous system and suppressing the appetite. Herbalife tablets and shakes promise weight loss, though not considered healthy, as the weight loss is as high as 2.5 to 7.5 pounds per week. Pills containing phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride are not approved by the FDA. The associated weight loss is due to the diet followed, in spite of the appetite suppressing tendency of the pill.

Orlistat is yet another diet pill for excessive weight. Alli is a diet pill, which works by inhibiting lipase, the enzyme essential for lipid oxidation. The undigested fat is eliminated from the body. Intake of diet pills requires the guidance of your nutritionist or physician. This site fails to recommend any of the diet pills.
