Here are a few home remedies that can help in treating this condition effectively. Mix a teaspoon each of honey and mint juice. Now add a teaspoon of malt vinegar followed by a cup of carrot juice. Mix the ingredients and consume the mixture 3 times a day. Pineapple is also considered to be very useful in treating this condition. Drinking the juice of the fruit once a day will help in clearing mucus and aid recovery. Take 2 teaspoons of black raisins and add a spoon of sugar and a dash of black pepper to them. Grind the three ingredients well to make a thin powder.
This should be had twice a day. Celery is also recommended for treating this condition. Take a few celery leaves and grind them in order to extract their juice.Four tablespoons of this juice should be had every 30 minutes for 2 hours. This procedure has to be continued till the stool gets regular and rigid.
Oranges are also considered to be very beneficial for treating TB. Add one 1 ½ teaspoons of honey to a glass of orange juice. Now add a dash of salt and stir well. This should be had once a day. The juice acts as expectorant and also helps in protecting the body from secondary infections. A person suffering from this condition has to avoid all kind of devitalizing foods namely; white sugar, white bread, refined cereals, pies, pudding and canned, preserved and tinned, foods. Strong tea or coffee, sauces, pickles and condiments have to also be avoided.
