JUICERS - HOW TO EXTRACT THE VITAL SUBSTANCESThe ideal juicer should be able to extract the maximum amount of liquid juice from fruit of vegetables. The dry husk that is left behind can be used as organic compost for growing more fruit and vegetables. Electric blenders may be used to extract juices from soft fruit such as raspberries, but a purpose-built juicing machine will yield better results. It is a good idea to invest in juicer that can also shred, slice, blend, and chop. There are a number of models available in the market, each of which has its own advantages and disadvantages. When looking for a juicer, try to buy a machine where the manufacturer provides at least one years guarantee against faults. Juicers are of essentially two types. The first kind consists of a basket with perforations. This machine utilizes centrifugal force to extract juices. It is cheap and efficient but cannot be used continuously because the machine will frequently have to be dismantled to remove the pulp. The other kind of juicer is the continuous juicer. In this type of machine, the juice comes out from one side, and pulp is continuously expelled from the other. This type of machine may be a tad more expensive, and not as efficient, but it will save you the hassle of frequently having to dismantle and open the mechanism. For the mass production of juices, a hydraulic press is used which first shreds the plant matter and then subjects it to intense pressure to extract juices from it. This installation is frequently used in juice making factories, and is too cumbersome and unwieldy for home use. Of course you could always choose to use a non-electric traditional method of juicing such as a wine press. A good juicer is an important investment to preserve the health of your family. It can be utilized to produce a variety of fruit and vegetable juices, and is vastly more economical than buying packaged juices from the market. |
