Soy Protein ShakesProtein shakes are routinely used by bodybuilders and other sportspersons to get the necessary amount of protein a day. They are often used just before and after a workout, as this is when the body’s demand for protein is the highest. Protein comes from different sources, but shakes and protein powders generally come from whey, casein or soy. There are reasons why you would choose soy over other sources of protein. First of all, soy comes from a plant source and is vegetarian and vegan. Soy protein shakes for weight loss are very effective. They are easy to make and do not need as much time as a full meal to consume. Soy has been show to prevent the body from storing fat, meaning that you lose calories and fat faster. You can either use soy protein shakes for a mid-day meal, or just before and after your workout. Soy protein shakes for women can also be beneficial. Soy contains lectin, which prevents the build-up of cellulite in women. Soy also contains L-tyrosine and isoflavones, both of which have been shown to help women lose fat. Soy has also been shown to have a number of other health benefits for women. There are plenty of soy protein shakes recipes available online. However, you do not really need a recipe; you just need to understand your own nutritional requirements. To make a tasty shake, just take two spoons of soy protein powder. Mix this with water or soy milk. To this you can add strawberries, bananas or any other fruit. You can even mix the powder with fruit juice. Add a little flax seed oil into the mix, and whisk it up in a blender, and you are ready to go. That being said, keep in mind that too much of anything is bad for you, and the same goes with soy protein. Try to vary your diet and try to get natural, home-cooked foods instead of ready-to-eat processed food as often as you can. |
