Pain between groin and chest region is abdominal pain:I have problem with my stomach it always pain in my adominal before and after eating the more I eat the more pain I feel the pain what shall I do?Pain between the groin and the chest region is termed as abdominal pain. Strain in the muscles also results in abdominal pain. Avoid the intake of NSAIDs or non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs or any other narcotics. Drink clear liquids or water. Avoid any solid foods and opt for antacids. The pain is also due to heartburn or GERD gastroesophageal reflux disease, in some individuals. Avoid cigarettes and alcoholic beverages. Weight maintenance is important. Keep your head in an elevated level, such as raised using two pillows to prevent acid reflux. Eat at least two hours, prior to bedtime. Sit in a straight manner, immediately after meals, for almost half an hour. Opt for medical help in case of severe pain, burning sensation, and abdominal discomfort, lack of appetite, weight loss without reason, diarrhoea and high body temperature. Minor abdominal pain is prevented by eating frequent meals, in limited quantities. Adequate amount of water helps. Regular exercise is effective in keeping the system healthy and free from diseases. A diet rich in complex carbohydrates, especially fruits and vegetables is helpful. Foods that cause flatulence or that produce gas are not recommended. Acid in the stomach irritates the mucous, and thereby results in pain. The pain decreases with the intake of food, as erosion of the stomach lining decreases. Nausea and vomiting are common. Pain in the abdomen after meals is also due to obstruction of blood vessels that leads to the intestinal tract. This is also referred to as chronic mesenteric insufficiency. This condition is analogous to coronary artery disease. This is because of shortage of circulation during the process of digestion. The demand is not easy to manage. This in turn results in a pain that is similar to angina. Individuals with obstruction in the blood vessels in the neck, heart and leg also experience pain. Blockage of vessels is also seen in smokers and individuals with high cholesterol levels. Gastric cancer or cancer of the stomach is yet another causative factor for abdominal pain, after meals. |
