Naturopathy Diet

The human body is made up of many different types of tissues and muscles. The skeleton gives the body its structure and some of its weight. The rest of the weight is made up of these tissues and muscles. The height of an individual is a determining factor when one considers the ideal weight of an individual. The body mass index calculation thus uses height and weight to calculate the mass of the individual.

A modern lifestyle is quite sedentary and relaxed involving little physical exercise.

When the body is at rest, it uses small amounts of energy to keep the basic functions of the body running. It also uses small amounts of energy for the various movements that an individual makes during the day. The food that is consumed, however, is the same, or more, in terms of quantity as one might have consumed in the past.

Food is therefore discarded in the form of feces or stored in the body in the form of fat. Fat accumulation on the body is also a function of the quality of food being consumed by an individual. Foods that are high in fat content are unhealthy.

Many modern foods, especially fast foods, contain few nutrients and ignore other vital nutrients. This is an imbalanced form of food consumption. By avoiding certain vital ingredients, the individual will never be completely satiated with his or her diet.

The body continues to crave nutrition because it is being starved of what it needs, even though it is fed fully with some food. This leads to an accumulation of fat as the individual continues to fuel the storage of food without working any nutrition off.

A naturopathy diet healing concept is based on the assumption that the body is capable of curing itself when fed with the right nutrients. The naturopathy diet program is designed to help the body achieve its correct balance. When the body is in a state of balance, it is less likely to be affected by diseases and infections. The naturopathy diet is therefore not as simple as the standard recommendation that most unfit individuals receive which is to exercise more and eat less. A naturopathy diet and exercise program is designed to bring the body into balance. In many cases, individuals use extreme forms of dieting such as crash dieting. These forms of dieting are dangerous as they starve the body and affect the way in which the body metabolizes food. Many exercise programs are also based on short periods of heavy exertion followed by long periods of inactivity. This can also confuse the body and cause problems with an individual’s health.

The problem with a naturopathy diet is that there is no fixed or specific diet that can be applied to all individuals. Every single individual has to have a specific diet that is tailored to his or her mental and physical condition. Naturopathy nutrition therefore should be suggested by specialists who can prescribe the right kind of treatment for each patient

Naturopathy is an alternative medicinal system that philosophizes on a holistic approach for preventing and curing ailments. This approach includes natural remedies and believes in curing the cause rather than the symptoms. What’s more, naturopathy has almost no side effects as it doesn’t require surgery and drugs. Naturopathy gives utmost importance to regular exercise, maintaining the right diet, and being mentally stress free. One needs to give up sedentary lifestyle and modify one’s diet as it restores the body to good health and has long lasting results.

As naturopathy maintains, diet plays an extremely important role in one’s health. Our diet has a direct bearing on our health and almost all illnesses are related to our diet. Our diet must include adequate protein, vitamins, calcium, minerals, and other nutrients. A well balanced diet is the key to good health and preventing serious ailments like heart diseases, blood pressure, diabetes, risks of cancer, and any other diseases. You just need to include lots of green leafy vegetables, raw vegetables, fresh fruits, fruit and vegetable juices, nuts and seeds, and whole grains in your daily diet.

Avoid consumption of too much sodium, sugary food, oily and fried food, junk food, and processed and refined food. White sugar, white rice, and white flour must be substituted by their brown counterparts. You must also consume as little of tea and coffee as possible. Herbal teas like green tea, gingerroot tea, chamomile, mint, and holy basil, to name a few are better options as they are good for health. And, avoid consuming alcoholic beverages completely. Consuming the juice of two oranges and an apple in the morning has many health benefits like easing bowel movements.

Start your day with proteins as it keeps you energetic through the day and prevents frequent hunger pangs. Have oats, fresh fruits, egg, soymilk, muesli without sugar, and nuts (almond and peanuts) in the morning. Your lunch must include fresh vegetables, sprouts, boiled rice, whole wheat, baked beans, and corn. You dinner must be very light with salads, vegetable soups, and fruits.

You must especially consume lots of spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, asparagus, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, beetroot, and collard greens to name a few as these are rich sources of Vitamins A, C, and K, fiber, calcium, and vitamins.

Also drink coconut water and juices of carrot, spinach, bitter gourd, and beetroot as frequently as you can. You must also avoid meats. Oils like olive and canola are better than hydrogenated vegetable oils.
