Is it a good idea to get my jaw wired for weight loss?

Weight Loss with Jaw Wiring

Wiring a jaw is an awful and a very cruel idea for weight loss. When you wire your jaw it is obvious that it would not be forever, when you lose weight (if any by this method) you would open your jaw and get back to your normal lifestyle. This will then lead to including and indulging in all the diet activities you did before which will ultimately lead to weight gain with a lightening effect. Any bariatric surgery or wiring your jaw is not a permanent solution for your weight loss. You need to make permanent dietary and lifestyle modifications too keep the weight lost at bay forever.

Along with dietary modifications it is very important to exercise as this will quicken the process in a healthy manner.

Try the following tips for the same -

  • Avoid starving yourself; eat small nutritious foods at frequent intervals to avoid any hunger pangs and thus subsequent overeating.
  • Have a healthy meal consisting of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole cereals grains and its products, pulses and sprouts. You can have egg white, poultry, lean meat, fish and dairy products in moderation as they will provide you the good quality proteins.
  • Certain foods you need to avoid completely which include simple sugars, refined or processed foods, junk foods, oily foods, excess butter, cream, other fats and oils, caffeine, bakery items, cakes, pastries, cookies, pickles, sweetened beverages, carbonated beverages, colas and sodas.
  • Take your time to finish your meals, chew each bite thoroughly before putting in your system for digestion.
  • Drink a big glass of plain warm water 20-30 minutes before having a meal as this will make you feel full and thus you would not binge, besides it would also keep you well hydrated.
