Advice on Diet
The metabolic ratio is not, modified in the idiot proof diet. The nutrient and calorie ratio are adjusted. The reduction in pace of the metabolism is prevented. This has been used by athletes and others over the years. It is followed for 11 days, which is succeeded by a 3 day period, wherein no allowances are given.
There are ten basic rules for the diet. They are as follows.
Four meal patterns are followed at an interval of two and a half hours. This aids in keeping a balance of the blood glucose levels. Additional calories, in the form of condiments and spices are abstained from. Calorie restrictions are not followed. Meals prepared at home are better, as it is better to stick on to any kind of plans. Carbohydrate and protein rich meals are considered in a cyclic manner. Fewer carbohydrates are consumed with more proteins, thereby resulting in weight loss.
This is followed for all the 11 days of the diet. Further weight loss is achieved by drinking eight to ten glasses of water everyday. Low calorie beverages are preferred. Sweets are avoided. At least an hour of exercise, split into two sessions are helpful, throughout the diet.
