General Motors Diet The GM diet plan turned out to be a phenomenal success – with a burgeoning reputation all over the world. As a result, the GM diet is now commonly tried and trusted all over the world when it comes to people attempting to lose weight. The GM diet plan is a seven day diet plan that is specific about the kinds of foods you eat during each day with a target to lose about 10 lbs by the end of the week. First and foremost, for the general motors diet requires the individual to stay off any alcohol consumption right through the dieting week. The GM diet chart requires the dieter to consume nothing but fruits right through the course of the day. The only fruit that should be avoided at this time are bananas. The recommendation is that the person on this diet should consume a lot of melons over the course of the first day as it is known to help people lose as much as three lbs on the first day of the diet itself. On the second day of the GM diet, vegetables are the order of the day and can be consumed either raw or cooked. Again, just as with the fruits, there is no limit on the amount that you consume apart from the fact that you will need to start the day with a large baked potato for breakfast. Day three allows you to consume a mixture of fruits and vegetables while day four requires you to consume a minimum of eight bananas and three glasses of milk. You should also make it a point to get a hold of the GM diet soup recipe available on the internet as this will make up the bulk of your consumption on this day. On day five you can consume beef, as well as increase your water intake while day six will ask you to eat substantial portions of beef and vegetables. On the seventh day, all consumption should be limited to brown rice, fruit juices and vegetables. |

The GM diet or General Motors Diet aims at weight loss of 10 to 17 pounds per week. It cleanses the system and improves the personality of the individual. It decreases the weight at the end of the program, in addition to removal of impurities. About ten glasses of water is consumed on a daily basis. Complete abstinence from alcohol helps during the program. The first day commences with an all fruit diet. Bananas are not taken, though all other fruits are suggested, especially loupe and watermelon. If you restrict the same to watermelon alone, the chances of reducing three pounds on the first day are possible. Day two is an all veggie diet, with cooked and raw vegetables. Commence the day with a baked potato and a pat of butter, as your breakfast. Fill the day with all other vegetables, from the market. Day three is a combo of vegetables and fruits, though potato and bananas are not considered. Bananas and milk comprise the fourth day of GM diet. Drink about three glasses of milk and eat eight bananas. Limited amount of GM wonder soup is taken. Fifth day is the feat day, a it comprises of beef and tomatoes. About two servings of ten ounce hamburger or lean beef help. Increase the intake of water by a quart. This helps in the removal of uric acid. Sixth day has unlimited intake of beef and vegetables. The last day comprises of fruit juices, brown rice and all other vegetables. The 1 cup rice indicates cooked rice and not raw rice. The program fails to return to the fruit diet on the seventh day. Repeat the program, for further weight loss. Two glasses of white wine are also allowed during this program. Avoid the intake of alcoholic beverages, though beer is considered. Unlimited amounts of GM wonder soup is taken. Salad dressings such as lime juice, white vinegar, garlic, herbs and malt are helpful. The GM wonder soup is a good supplement to the regular diet. It also decreases the appetite and helps in adherence to the diet. Vegetables, such as cabbage, celery, onions, green peppers, herbs, soup mix and flavouring go into this soup. Other veggies that are allowed in this soup are peas, beans, corn, asparagus, cauliflower, turnip and so on. High calorie beans, such as kidney, Lima and pinto beans are a big no-no. Avoid fruit juices before the seventh day. Club soda, black coffee, black tea or herbal tea and flavoured water are in, during the program. |
