Eating a healthy diet on a daily basis is extremely essential for a person’s well being. The first meal of the day should always be the biggest and the most nutritious one to help a person get through the day without feeling tired, fatigued or stressed. Eating a proper breakfast is particularly essential for pregnant women, adolescents and growing children. In the case of children and adolescents it gives them the energy, nutrients and vitamins that are required for their growth and development. There are various easy to make and extremely nutritious breakfast tips one can follow to ensure that their first meal of the day is a nutritious one.

A simple recipe is to start by taking some fresh yogurt and adding to it some fresh fruits that are available. These can include bananas, oranges, apples, blueberries, strawberries, peaches etc. Choose what ever fruits are in season thus ensuring their freshness and easy availability. One can even add some granola to this yogurt and fruit mix.

It requires not time to make and does not have any cooking time so is useful for those who are on the run and do not have enough time to sit down to a leisurely breakfast. If one has the time to cook up something quick then a fairly easy and nutritious recipe includes making an omelet out of spinach and tomato. Simply wash the spinach well and boil it and keep it aside in a bowl till it is ready to be used while the tomatoes are being diced.

Then whip up the ingredients together with the eggs into a nice, fluffy omelet. This makes for a nutritious breakfast meal and can give one the required fiber, iron and protein at the start of the day.  For those who are watching their cholesterol, then instead of using the yolk of the eggs they can only use the whites.  Another healthy breakfast option that is quick to make are pancakes. One can make pancakes with fruits like bananas or apples.

Try making scrambled tofu for a healthy breakfast option. This is found to be very high in protein. One can even try adding some onions and green peppers to this tofu. There are various kinds of whole grain cereals available in the markets like corn flakes and wheat flakes and wheat bran and muesli which come with pieces of fruit and dry nuts in them. These are easy to make and considered very healthy. They can be eaten along with milk, soymilk, and yogurt or even just eaten plain.
